Why will the ESBG take place in the Feuillette house?
It is the oldest wooden framework house with straw bale insulation in the world!
Designed in 1920 by the French engineer Émile Feuillette, this house is the perfect symbol of the durability of straw bale constructions and also the result of a fruitful cooperation within the straw bale community.
This architectural heritage has been preserved thanks to a strong mobilization of human resources through the association (Réseau Français de la Construction Paille) and with the financial support of straw bale community, institutional partners and benefactors.
