Straw goes Urban: join the discussion

straw-goes-urban-franceWe`d like to start a discussion, what is necessary, to build urban projects in a sustainable way, not just reducing energy-consumption or CO2, lets also think about social-, material-, agricultural-, renewable-, prefab-, community-matters. What are your ideas for a liveable city? Is sustainable urbanism more than building comunicative/participative places and passive-houses in a city? Is bringing the nature back in towns the big solution (urban gardening, vertical gardens, greening public spaces)?
It´s a big theme, we know, it includes the future of democracy, the way we want to live together in a healthy surrounding, the problem of feeding the people in the growing cities, the energy and infrastructure and lot more.

Have a look at our inspirational urban strawbale-examples or the movies on our site.
